I really like to give gifts with a more personal touch, so I tend to make them. If the graduate is someone that I know, I find that sometimes one of the best gifts for graduates is a scrapbook including pictures and memories of their time at the school and their friends. This can be a bit time consuming, but it will definitely be appreciated. It does require talking with other friends to get the pictures and memories to put in the book. Sometimes I give them a book with the pages all set out for them to complete during college on their own just by adding photos and journaling.
