When Mr. Nelson passed away, we were all stunned. I guess we thought that he would live forever. He never really seemed to age. His enthusiasm for life carried him well beyond those quieter retirement years. The son who gave the eulogy was so right when he talked about how his dad lived every moment of his life to the fullest. I wish I had been able to know him more than just those college years. He retired shortly after I graduated. Actually he stayed very busy, loving his wife and grand-children, working in his church, and tutoring those who were struggling with there courses. He really did live a wonderful life.
