If I’m an employer looking for an operator, I’ll choose someone first with experience and the best proof that someone has enough experience is when that person has a licence. To acquire a licence, it is a requirement that you pass a written exam. Most of the questions that will ask are about typical challenges that you may encounter while you are driving the machine. This test is important because if you fail, you won’t be able to take the second test which is the physical driving of the machine.
