Our history teacher recently showed our class the most interesting documentary on Queen Victoria and the age that she and her husband inspired. I can’t understand why people no longer appreciate some of the nicer things about that time. I love the stressing of virtuous behavior and the excitement about becoming progressive. I even like the clothing styles for that period, at least for the women. I think that he typical victorian fancy dress was both elegant and romantic. Of course, it’s very hard for me to picture myself in those clothes when I am out chasing our runaway dog through mud puddles in the rain, again.
