My husband and I have planned on building a loft in our home for many years, and that dream has finally become a reality.  We agreed on everything during the remodeling job except for one major thing.  My husband wanted to install a ladder and I insisted on a loft staircase.  He was worried about the extra expense, but I finally convinced him to install the staircase.  With a staircase, I can walk up and down with ease, carrying things up and down, and feel comfortable when the kids go up and down.  Now that the staircase is in use, he agrees with me 100%.
