There used to be neighbourhood watch schemes aplenty in the UK but these have largely broken down now – as these days it’s common for people to not even know their neighbours.  We can shake our heads and complain about the breakdown of society, but we still have to try and prevent break-ins, with or without our neighbour’s watchful eyes. 

This is where CCTV kits can greatly help.  They act as an extra pair of eyes watching your house 24/7, recording all the while.  If a burglar spots a CCTV camera, he’s going to move on to a house that has no such security.
