Medication using anti-epileptic drugs or anti-seizure drug is usually your child’s first epilepsy treatment for children option. Before you let your child take any anti-epileptic or anti-seizure drug, there are things that you should know about these drugs. First, these drugs should be taken by your child in a low dosage first and gradually increasing it when there is still no seizure attack. Second thing you should know is that the dose should be increased as your child ages and his weight increases. Lastly, your child can take another anti-epileptic drug, if the first one he took is only partially effective.
